The Piroshow system is a pyrotechnic firing system available at Piroshow.com. The system is manufactured in Italy and is quite popular internationally. The Piroshow Show Creator is a useful software and allows planning shows in a firing table.
The Piroshow master module has a lot of features integrated:
- DMX output directly from the master module
- Audio output
- SMPTE timecode input
- Ethernet network connectivity for Firmware updates
- Connectivity using either wireless or cable connections (XLR)
- If necessary, shows can be created directly on the master module without even using a PC.
To export a show to the Piroshow system, please follow these steps:
- Create a new show or open an existing one.
- Under the “Export” tab on the right, select the Piroshow system.
- Under the “Modules” tab, add enough modules for all cues. Then drag each module to the appropriate firing position in the 3D window.
- Click Export -> Auto-Address to assign module and pin numbers. If there are any problems (e.g. too few modules), FWsim will alert you.
- Click Export -> “Export for Firing System (Piroshow)” and select a filename to create a .txt file.
Note that the Piroshow system requires firings on the same module to be at least 5ms apart. When exporting, FWsim will group cues together that are closer than 5ms together. These cues will get the same pin and only one firing signal will be exported for them.
How to add music with Piroshow
Please follow these steps:
- Convert your music file into WAV before you use it. Use this online converter.
- Insert the WAV file into FWsim.
- Export the show to a Piroshow .txt script as described above. This script will list the music file name in the very first line, so the system can find it.
- Copy the WAV file to the device. Depending on which system you use:
- When using the Master, you need to copy the audio track .wav along with the script .txt file onto the USB stick in order to transfer it.
- On the other hand, if you’re using the AUDIO_BOX, you need to copy the audio track onto the SD card to be inserted into it.
- In both cases, please make sure that the filename is exactly the same as the one you inserted into FWsim.
