SBC Firing Systems

Introduction

FWsim now offers full support for the Liuyang SBC Firing System.

FWsim supports both generations of this hardware: the Spectra Series (previously known as TX-3200P) and the TX-3600P.

Whether you are planning a small community display or a large pyromusical, FWsim’s 3D visualization and timeline make it easy to design, preview, and export your show for the SBC system.

Setting Up Your Show

A professional show starts with an accurate site plan. With FWsim’s Google Earth integration, you can load any location in the world in full 3D. There is also realistic water simulation for waterfront displays.

Once the environment is loaded, set up your firing positions one by one, or use the Multi Add tool to place several positions at once.

Finally, add your music. FWsim’s Automatic Beat Detection helps you achieve perfect synchronization between your cues and the soundtrack.

Designing the Show

With your positions and music in place, it’s time to add cues.

  1. Activate the position you want to work with.
  2. Click the Single button in the toolbox and choose an effect — for example, a comet, so you can clearly see angle adjustments.
  3. You can also activate multiple positions at once by dragging a selection rectangle in the 3D view, then add cues to all of them with a single click.
  4. Adjust the angle directly in the 3D window. For instance, set a fan of comets shooting to the left, then copy and paste them, shift the timing, and change the angle to the right.
  5. Use copy and paste to quickly build sequences and stepper runs. The timeline lets you move cues around, and make them shorter or longer.

Press Play at any time to preview your show in real-time 3D.

Exporting to the SBC Firing System

When your show is ready, it’s time to generate channels and export.

  1. Open the Export tab and select the SBC TX-3600P or the Spectra Series firing system.
  2. Switch to the Modules tab, create your modules (one per position), and drag them to the corresponding positions.
  3. Click Export > Auto-Address to automatically assign module and pin addresses.
  4. Finally, click Export for Firing System to generate a CSV script file ready for your SBC hardware.

Timing Modes (TX-3600P only)

The SBC TX-3600P supports various timing modes. These modes allow a series of pins, or a series of modules, to be triggered with a single line in the script. This leads to higher timing accuracy.

We recommend using All Modes to get the best timing. If you prefer a standard one-line-per-shot script, select S Mode Only.

The Spectra Series does not support these advanced timing modes, so there is nothing extra to configure — simply export and you are ready to go.
