System Overview

RJ Equipamentos is a pyrotechnic firing system made in Brazil, first launched over 13 years ago. They offer a control module, a 2-channel indoor kit, and a 24-channel receiver module. The system has been used at major events throughout Brazil.

Step 1: Setup

1. In FWsim, click File -> New and select the RJ Equipamentos system.
2. Open the Scenery menu to select a real location, which will be imported from Google Earth in 3D.
3. Add your firing positions.
4. Add modules, and drag each module to a firing position.
5. Add your music file by dragging it from Windows Explorer onto the timeline.

Step 2: Plan your Show

Add your cues: activate the firing position you want, click the “Single” button in the toolbox and choose an effect. You can also activate multiple positions at once by dragging a selection rectangle. Adjust the firing angle in the 3D window.

Using copy and paste, you can quickly create sequences and stepper runs. Use the timeline to move them around and make them shorter or longer.

Step 3: Export

FWsim generates module and pin numbers for each cue when you click “Auto-Assign Channels”. FWsim also does this automatically before each firing system export.

You can see the module and pin numbers in the timeline on each cue, and in the Table View. To check how many pins are used on each module, return to Module Setup Mode.

In the Export menu, you can now export the data for the firing system. Once exported, you can transfer the file to your RJ Equipamentos system.
