FS México Logo

FS México is a Mexican technology initiative dedicated to the development of electronic systems for the control and programming of pyrotechnic shows. The project was born with the vision of providing pyrotechnicians in Mexico with reliable national technology, backed by direct technical support and specialized training.

How to use FWsim with FS México

Please follow these steps:

  1. Create a new show or open an existing one.
  2. Select the FS México system for this show by navigating to the “Export” tab on the right.
  3. Under the “Modules” tab in the sidebar, add enough modules for all cues. Then drag each module to the appropriate firing position in the 3D window.
  4. Click Export -> Auto-Address to assign module and pin numbers. If there are any problems (e.g. too few modules), FWsim will alert you.
  5. Click Export -> FS México and select a filename to create a .csv file.

Technical Details: Virtual Final Pins

The FS México export has a special requirement: for each firing position, a virtual final pin is added automatically. This virtual pin fires 100 ms after the last real shot on that position and uses the next available pin on the same module.

This means each module needs one extra pin per firing position beyond the pins used by actual cues. Specifically:

Important: Each module supports up to 32 pins. If all 32 pins on a module are already used by real cues and there is no room left for the virtual final pin, the export will fail. Make sure to leave at least one free pin per firing position on each module.

Minimum Firing Interval

Shots on the same module that are less than 30 ms apart are automatically grouped onto the same pin.
