Was ist neu in FWsim v4?

Features added to FWsim Pro:

• Table View can now be shown docked, above 3D window
• Select columns for Table View (right-click on the header)
• Graphical Module Configuration, directly in the 3D window
• Coordinate System is now shown at the proper height with Google Earth 3D environments

Features removed from FWsim Pro

We want to make FWsim Pro simple and easy to use. Therefore, we removed some features. This might require you to make changes to existing shows:

• In v3, you could put modules anywhere, and they would be connected with any position. In v4, every module must be associated with a position.
• The option “Put stepper elements on nearby positions” was removed.
• FWsim allows putting cues anywhere in the field, even when there is no position defined. In v4, such shows can no longer be exported to your firing system. Please put all cues on positions before exporting.

Show Editor Improvements (all editions)

• When zooming in on the timeline, FWsim now centers the zoom around the current cursor position.

• Better display of positions, with 3D cylinders - so you can better see where the positions actually are in 3D space
• Put steppers through multiple positions (this allows you, for example, to run a stepper in a circle)
• New “Fly Around” camera controls - more efficient & intuitive
• Comfortable angle selection in 3D window
• Select position first, then add cues
• Select multiple positions to add multiple cues
• In position setup mode, you can select multiple positions and move them together
• Stepper renamed “Sequence”
• Toolbox made smaller, so you have more space for your timeline
• Now using the CTRL key to select multiple items in the timeline, instead of SHIFT (to match the Windows standard)
• When pasting, cues are pasted onto the position that is selected in the 3D window
• You can copy shots from a single position, and paste them onto multiple other positions

Effects Improvements (all editions)

• More effects available in each edition
• Some old effects, which were of lower quality, are now hidden
• New effect components in FWsim Creative Edition & FWsim Pro
• Adjust gravity for stars
• New types of blinking
• More colors available
• Can now attach ascent effect components to rockets

Warum wir FWsim Pro nur als Abo anbieten

FWsim Pro ist jetzt nur mehr als Abo erhältlich, die frühere Option einer Einmalzahlung gibt es nicht mehr.

Hier sind die Gründe dafür:

Updates kommen jetzt schneller

Beim alten Lizenzmodell haben wir von Zeit zu Zeit große Versions-Updates veröffentlicht (z.B. Version 2 → v3). Diese waren als kostenpflichtige Upgrades verfügbar. Das hat die Entwicklung verlangsamt, weil manche Features auf die nächste große Version “warten” mussten. Dadurch mussten alle länger auf neue Funktionen warten.

Jetzt veröffentlichen wir jedes Feature, sobald es fertig ist, und alle Nutzer bekommen das Update.

Wir haben mehr Zeit für die Entwicklung

Das bisherige Lizenzmodell war komplex und aufwendig in der Verwaltung. Mit dem Abo ist alles einfacher, und wir können uns darauf konzentrieren, das beste Produkt für dich zu entwickeln.

Wir sind nach wie vor ein kleines Unternehmen (zu zweit). Die größten Herausforderungen für uns sind stabiler, vorherseebarer Umsatz und Fokus.

Wie bekomme ich FWsim Pro v4?

Wenn du bereits ein Abo hast, erhältst du das Update automatisch.

Wenn du eine Kauflizenz für FWsim Pro v2 oder v3 erworben hast, brauchst du ein Abo, um Zugang zu v4 zu bekommen. Natürlich kannst du v2 oder v3 weiterhin nutzen, und du bekommst nach wie vor Support.

So startest du ein Abo wenn du derzeit FWsim Pro v3 verwendest:

1. Öffne FWsim
2. Klicke auf das Hilfe-Menü und wähle “Lizenz-Infos und Upgrade”
3. Wenn du FWsim nicht installiert hast, klicke hier um einen Link zu erhalten

Kann ich meine alten Shows und Effekte in v4 öffnen?

Ja, alle Shows und Effekte funktionieren weiterhin in FWsim 4. Allerdings kann es sein, dass Dateien, die du in v4 speicherst, sich nicht mehr in der vorherigen Version öffnen lassen. Das liegt daran, dass wir neue Funktionen hinzugefügt haben.

Was, wenn ich v4 nicht möchte?

Kein Problem! Nutze einfach weiterhin die vorherige Version. Du erhältst weiterhin unseren gewohnten Support, und deine ältere Version steht dir auch weiterhin zum Download zur Verfügung.
